The Makers and Shakers
for this season’s autumn harvest You are warmly invited to visit ‘the makers and shakers’ this april 18 + 19 10am-4pm at the beautiful royal exhibition building in the carlton gardens.
The Makers & Shakers Melbourne features a curated lineup of handmade stalls of Australian made homewares, slow fashion, food and drink. There are also workshops, product tastings and DJs.
i am pleased to introduce you to two new additions to the whisking product range. the first being the ‘flower bouquet bag’ which is perfect for your trip to the florist or supermarket to pick up weekly blooms or even flowers for a special dinner party. each bag is handmade completely by me from start to finish, a process very much stemming from a love of sewing. The bag features ties to keep your bouquet in place and the option to close three press studs which can keep smaller blooms safe during travel walking or on the vespa. the design is finished with a new pattern ‘windowpane’ painted by hand in a durable fabric ink. accompanying the ‘flower bouquet bag’ is the ‘flower vase’. large enough to hold a bouquet and there is even room for taller stems such as sunflowers and lillies.
At the market i will be offering a special run of custom orders for the vases and bouquet bags if there is a colourway in the new ‘windowpane’ pattern that takes your fancy. each bouquet bag comes with a bunch of handmade paper flowers.
aside from these two new additions there will also be more mugs, cocktail cups, shot glasses, mini cups, mini dishes, dip bowls, and cups.
the makers and shakers is proudly and event partner with the official australia made campaign. this means that every product available at the market will be australian made.

heide market
this season’s ‘summer harvest’ is coming to you at the heide market. in the beautiful gardens of the heide museum at 7 templestowe road, bulleen from 10am-3pm.
my inspiration for this collection came from sharing those good moments around the table with friends and collecting mini tomatoes from the garden. though my tomatoes are still green i’m hoping they will ripen soon enough. if gardening and pottery teach you something important, it is always be patient and tend to everything with love and care.
i hope to see you there
